Djelloul Marbrook's book of poems, Far from Algiers, was selected by Prof. Toi Derricotte of the University of Pittsburgh faculty for the 2007 Stan and Tom Wick Prize and will be published by Kent State University Press in the fall of 2008. He is a retired newspaper editor, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a small-boat sailor. He lives with his wife Marilyn in the mid-Hudson Valley, 100 miles north of New York City.
